What You'll Accomplish •Serve as the Lead Contact for Social Events: Act as the ambassador and primary client contact for social events, primarily weddings, providing exceptional customer service from initial contact to event day to meet revenue and satisfaction goals. •Drive Revenue through Sales & Planning: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to secure social event bookings, with a target of upwards of $400k annually. Handle incoming client inquiries, provide timely responses to RFPs, and conduct site tours weekly to generate new business. •Manage Event Coordination from Start to Finish: Handle the sales, planning, and operational aspects of each social event, including floor plan creation, vendor coordination, staffing, and event flow to ensure a seamless client experience. •Collaborate with Internal and External Partners: Coordinate closely with the catering sales manager, internal departments, and external vendors to ensure flawless execution of event details, aligning with the Museum's standards. •Track and Document Client History: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records in the event sales database to support seamless transitions, repeat business, and personalized client experiences. •Enhance Client Experience through Vendor Relations: Build and maintain a network of local vendors, developing a curated list of recommendations for clients seeking additional services to complement their Museum-hosted events.
What We're Looking For (Competencies) •Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrates a commitment to high-quality customer service, with the ability to anticipate client needs, address inquiries promptly, and deliver a polished, positive experience from initial contact to event day. •Sales & Revenue Generation: Experienced in outbound sales and prospecting with a focus on meeting revenue targets. Ability to forecast sales opportunities, develop client relationships, and create strategies to maximize revenue. •Event Planning Proficiency: Skilled in event planning and logistics, capable of overseeing all aspects of social events, including floor plans, vendor management, and client coordination, ensuring seamless execution. •Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of each event are documented, organized, and executed with precision. •Communication Skills: Articulate in both written and oral communication, able to maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams. •Industry Knowledge: Knowledgeable in food industry trends and fine dining service standards, with experience in wedding event planning, contributing to refined and relevant event solutions.

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, scheduled from
Tuesday to Saturday .
Salary Range
$69,740-$87,175 USD
