Stryten Energy is offering an exciting Summer Internship opportunity for engineering students. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week internship running from May through August. Interns must arrange their own transportation to the plant. For those living more than 50 miles away, there may be an option for housing provided by a local university.

Responsibilities
Self–motivated with ability to work with little supervision Strong oral & written communication skills Ability to work in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel & Word documents High degree of electrical knowledge and a strong mechanical aptitude Demonstrate ability in electrical, pneumatic, & mechanical operations Demonstrate ability to connect, using a lap top , to multiple types of Allen Bradley PLC’s using RSLynx software Demonstrate understanding of stepping motor controls and interfacing to PLC systems Demonstrate ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions in a PLC programming environment Demonstrate ability to make minor changes to enact improvements or repairs to existing PLC controlled equipment Demonstrate ability to read & interpret electrical schematics as they relate to existing field wiring
Qualifications
We are looking for students: Enrolled in a Technical School or Collage preferred With a GPA of 3.0 or greater You must have transportation The position is required to work onsite daily Possibility of housing provided by local university COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE Strong communication and documentation skills Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Basic MS office skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching Required to lift and handle parts weighing up to 50 lbs
