Overview
Stryten Energy, manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.
Performs various duties related to maintenance and upkeep of tooling, machinery, and related equipment. This will include the repair of industrial tooling for plastic injection machines, analyzing operational problems, testing equipment, correcting issues, developing, and maintaining plans, and providing input and suggestions regarding tooling and molding issues.
Opening on 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm)
Pay rate:
$29.71/hour, plus shift differentials of $1.50/hour (2nd shift)
Responsibilities

If an unsafe condition is found to exist, actions must be taken immediately to correct the situation to keep all team members safe and get manufacturing equipment operational as soon as possible. Perform various duties relating to maintenance and upkeep of tooling and related plastic injection molding equipment. Perform task assigned by Team Leader. Moves injection molds around the facility as required by the toolroom and production departments. Disassembly of injection molds, cleaning, changeover of components, and reassembly of the mold when completed Electrical checks of mold heaters and thermocouples. Water pressure checks of mold. Complete mold and equipment work orders using computerized mold repair database. Operate necessary equipment including lathes, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other associated equipment. Troubleshoot tooling issues in the production area and in the tooling room, recommend and implement solutions to fix problems. Ability to effectively manage time and meet specified deadlines. Follow all company safety policies and procedures including the use of PPE and safety equipment. Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and other lean manufacturing initiatives. Hands on approach of all activities of the shift to ensure best practices are taking place to resulting in quality of work, maximize output, reduce errors. Continuously improve the general housekeeping, organization of equipment, tools, and supplies to keep workstations as efficient as possible. Good communication with process engineering to work on improving molding thru tooling improvements and processing; diagnose/trouble shoot and help/implement corrections to tooling problems with other facilities. Must complete all required hazardous waste training and comply with all Stryten hazardous waste and handling procedures. Other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the business. Be available to work flexible shifts to ensure support and proper coverage is available. Motivated self-starter that is able to productively work alone and in groups to solve problems. Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime on an as needed/required basis in order to complete work in process and communicate with other shifts. Work within established policies, procedures, practices, and regulations. Attend all required trainings and meetings. Other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D, preferred. But not required Understanding of machining principles preferred. Fundamental understanding of injection molding. Thorough understanding of mold construction and mold maintenance principles. Must demonstrate a high level of mechanical aptitude. Basic machinist skill Welding; TIG and MIG Excellent communication and documentation. Physical requirements as defined in associated job analysis. Must function well in a team environment and must communicate well with others. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair molds as needed. Must complete a Lock Out/Tag Out training program. Proven satisfactory work history (attendance and performance).
This must be maintained.
Attendance is critical to this position.
