My client offers comprehensive discovery, preclinical, and CMC services to support the entire drug development process. Their discovery services include high-throughput screening, hit identification, and lead optimization, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to advance potential therapeutics. In the preclinical phase, my client conducts in-depth pharmacokinetic and toxicological studies to assess the safety and efficacy of candidates, ensuring robust data for regulatory submissions. Additionally, their CMC capabilities encompass the development and manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and drug formulations, adhering to stringent quality and regulatory standards. This integrated approach enables clients to efficiently progress their projects from initial discovery through preclinical development and into the later stages of product commercialization.
Job Description
The Business Development Manager DP&C will:
- Collaborate with scientists to align client expectations with project deliverables.
- Generate and maintain profitable relationships with partners and clients.
- Promote the organization as a preferred CRO with fully integrated services.
- Achieve sales and profit targets to drive business growth.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with clients, particularly senior management.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to capture new business areas.
- Contribute to the development of a strong Value Proposition for clients.
- Represent the organization professionally and convert inquiries into contracts.
- Work with scientists to create compelling business proposals and presentations.
- Gather and share market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Business Development Manager DP&C will have:
- Strong work ethic and high motivation for individual and team success.
- Master's degree in Chemistry (Medicinal, Synthetic, or Processed) required; PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience in a scientific lab environment.
- Essential knowledge and experience in drug discovery and development.
- Deep understanding of the CRO and pharmaceutical market is beneficial.
- Excellent commercial acumen, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and relationship management abilities.
- Located on the West Coast.
- REMOTE role.
