Job Summary

Substance Use Disorder (SUD)-The Substance Use Disorder Behavioral Health Specialist (Therapist) provides counseling and support to individuals experiencing addiction. Assists the individual in their recovery process by using strategic interventions.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited graduate school of social work or Master’s degree in psychology or counseling with appropriate accreditation.
- State of Michigan License as an LMSW.
- Substance abuse counseling certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the behavioral health setting.
- Previous substance use disorder experience preferred.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- State of Michigan License as LLMSW.
- Enrolled in a Development Plan as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with MCBAP.
- Previous experience in a behavioral health setting or substance use disorder preferred.
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred.
- Able to function effectively in the treatment of clients.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Able to resolve interpersonal and professional conflicts appropriately.
