Job Description

The Manager of Retail Business Development will be an integral member of the direct retail team, serving as project manager and 360 strategy lead in the build out of new retail concepts, as well as monitor performance, identify opportunities, and make recommendations to further drive sales in the open boutiques. This role will require seamless advanced planning, agility, and problem solving to address opportunities that emerge during all stages of planning and execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop business models, executive briefs and proposals based on new retail opportunities.
  • Provide strategic input into and execute activities in support of the build out of new retail concepts supporting company-wide priorities.
  • Manage pipeline of all future openings, scheduling 360 project kick-offs and updating and sharing calendar regularly to ensure all parties are aware of key dates and changes.
  • Manage and communicate project timelines and deliverables by store for all departments; track spend vs. total budget; follow up regularly to ensure all stakeholders are on task, on time, and on budget.
  • Support on-the-ground along with the operations lead in advance of and during openings. Partner cross-functionally to execute all aspects of a retail concept buildout to create the ultimate client experience and achieve objectives (assortment, stock, store operations, retail performance, VM, training, events, communications).
  • Ensure regular presence in stores; gather and raise feedback to cross-functional teams, recommending and collaborating on opportunities to drive sales and enhance client experience. Ensure financial objectives and key strategies are prioritized and being met.
  • Review store performance daily and / or weekly depending on duration of concept. Partner with Marketing, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain on offer and forecast revisions, ensuring stock supports sales trends and key selling moments.
  • Closely monitor the retail landscape for new opportunities - Direct, Wholesale, and Digital - as well as competitor network evolution and performance, raising opportunities that will further the Maison's priorities.
  • Partner with CRM team to drive & support CRM integration for new retail concepts.
  • Develop executive business reviews encompassing strategies, performance, and client insights on a regular basis.
  • Hindsight opening processes after launch to define best practices and feed continuous improvement. Promote a positive, united work environment within the team and across departments while challenging status quo.
Retail Innovation Team Mission

The Retail Innovation team at Parfums Christian Dior is leading the evolution of luxury fashion beauty and fragrance through the exploration and testing of new and distinctive retail experiences and models to further enrich client relationships with the Maison.

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience with a background in strategic presentation build out, 360 project management and financials/budgeting. Ideally with experience in beauty and fragrances, vertical retail, D2C, and / or luxury fashion environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills. Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Maintains composure and remains solutions-oriented even in high pressure, ambiguous situations.
  • Able to distinguish which issues, dependencies, and risks are critical and demonstrate flexibility when prioritizing.
  • Works well with others. Strength of character to manage and influence a range of stakeholders across management levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to wear multiple hats and be hands-on and in the details.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized & detail-oriented.
  • Sense of urgency is critical.

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published range of $110,000-$135,000.
