Job Title: Business Development Manager - Commercial Construction

Location: Remote (Multiple locations)

Business Development Manager Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the company’s client base within the commercial construction sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s market presence.

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the commercial construction sector. Analyze competitor activity and report findings to senior management.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Proposal Development:
    Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations. Ensure that all proposals align with company standards and effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Networking & Partnerships:
    Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build relationships and promote the company. Establish partnerships that can enhance service offerings or market reach.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets. Track progress and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure objectives are met.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with project management, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment on business development goals and strategies.
  • Reporting & Metrics:
    Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and outcomes.
Business Development Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
