Job Description: Structural Steel Fabricator/Fitter
Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4:30 pm - 5:00 am (10-hour days). Overtime possible on Fridays.
Experience Keywords: D1.1, D1.5, CWI, WSP, back gouging, bridge, girder work
Job Summary: The Structural Steel Fabricator/Fitter will be responsible for fabricating various types of weldments in the structural steel, bridge, and storage tank industry. The role involves working with D1.1, D1.5, ASME, and API codes.

Job Summary: The Structural Steel Fabricator/Fitter will be responsible for fabricating various types of weldments in the structural steel, bridge, and storage tank industry. The role involves working with D1.1, D1.5, ASME, and API codes.
Qualifications:
- Pass blueprint test at 70% or higher.
- Pass a standard tack test using FCAW and GMAW processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of verifiable experience in structural steel fabrication.
- Hiring both Class A & Class B Fitters.
- Pay starts at $22/hour and goes up based on experience and ability.
- Follow all TTI/FSS Company and OSHA Safety Policies.
- Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings to fabricate weldments, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
- Understand and interpret weld symbols and perform layouts on structural steel materials for cutting and fabrication.
- Use grinders, squares, tape measures, torches, plasma cutters, and other tools in structural fabrication/fitting.
- Work with D1.1, D1.5, ASME, and API codes.
- Read and understand drawings, codes, and specifications.
- Ensure all established fabrication procedures are followed.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Work in an open-air environment during various weather conditions.
- Physically intensive job involving standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Pass a standard tack test using FCAW and GMAW processes.
- Perform standard beveling, coping, notching, and weld joint preparation.
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years of verifiable experience in structural steel fabrication (Required).
- Bridge and storage tank experience (Preferred).
