Position Overview: The Key Holder at Kumori/Mori/Sumo/Express is a vital role that ensures the smooth operation of the restaurant, upholding the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and team efficiency. *** This position is for a pool of applicants for our different locations** Job Title: Key Holder - Kumori/Mori/Sumo/Express Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Description: Position Overview: The Key Holder at Kumori/Mori/Sumo/Express is a vital role that ensures the smooth operation of the restaurant, upholding the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and team efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: * Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. * Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal service. * Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders as needed. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a positive dining experience. Leadership and Team Management: * Supervise, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service. * Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance feedback. * Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. * Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members. Kitchen and Food Quality: * Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards. * Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain consistency in food preparation and service. * Implement and monitor food safety and sanitation practices. * Assist in menu planning, development, and execution. Financial and Administrative Duties: * Monitor and control operational costs, including labor, food, and supplies. * Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. * Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in transactions. * Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and staff performance. Customer Service Excellence: * Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience. * Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. * Promote a culture of hospitality and service excellence among the team. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the restaurant industry, preferably in a Japanese or Asian cuisine setting. * Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen management. * Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly. * Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. * Proficiency in using restaurant management software and tools.
