TITLE: Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LPE-I)
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to the Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Therapist will provide quality individual and other therapies using professional standards according to their licensure and/or certification and will comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as well as Unity Health policies and procedures.
Clinical Services:
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to the Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a master's degree in a behavioral science discipline (must be independently licensed to practice in Arkansas).
- Experience: Licensed in Arkansas as a Mental Health Professional with at least two years post-master's experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Must have completed hospital and clinic orientation period in order to act as a team leader.
- Skills: The therapist must possess effective communication skills and demonstrate leadership ability and interest in professional growth. Must be readily adaptable to changing physician/practice demands, without deterioration under stress; and must have a basic concept of customer service, scheduling, and counseling. The therapist must possess demonstrated knowledge, training, and skills that are necessary and appropriate to the patient-specific population. Therapist must be able to set priorities and effectively delegate/coordinate interdisciplinary care based on the needs of the patient and clinic.
- Working Relationships: Ability to function with minimum supervision and interface appropriately with healthcare team.
- Performance & Competency: Must successfully demonstrate competency in field and work environment on a continuous basis-including age-specific competencies, clinical competencies and organization-wide competencies such as fire, infection control, emergencies, etc.). Performance will be measured and routinely evaluated with clinical administrative staff as required.

Clinical Services:
- To carry an individual caseload proportionate to the patient population needs, providing them with individual or family therapy according to approved hospital standards.
- The therapist will complete assessment/treatment using a variety of diagnostic tools, following best practices.
- To conduct psychotherapy sessions daily in conjunction with the clinical schedule.
- To conduct assessment/interventions and other sessions on each assigned patient and document in a timely manner per clinic policy.
- To complete psychosocial/initial assessments on assigned patients in a timely/complete manner.
- Conduct basic crisis intervention services and make appropriate referrals as needed.
- Monitors effective therapy.
- Knowledge of the development and maintenance of information/referral systems.
- Demonstrate a sensitivity and responsiveness to a variety of cultural values and beliefs and social determinants of health.
- Demonstrates positive and effective verbal and writtent communication skills with patients, families and co-workers, and in patient documentation.
- Maintains a current level of clinical practice by selecting appropriate avenues for professional growth and routinely seeks continuing education according to best practice. Evaluates goal attainment and revises goals on an on-going basis.
- Performs other similar duties as assigned by supervision.
