Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Gas and Chemical Technician to join our team and provide technical support and problem resolution for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment. The technician will be a subject matter expert and part of the onsite project and equipment team, supporting gas and chemical operations across multiple locations in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. The role involves supporting over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment from various vendors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading technical challenges.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment, providing technical support and problem resolution.
  • Support gas and chemical operations across 11 buildings in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale.
  • Lead technical challenges and ensure the maintenance and operation of over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment from multiple vendors.
  • Write, edit, and execute operating and maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Foster a ZERO safety or quality incident culture by adhering to safety protocols and processes.
  • Support project and sustaining operations, including basic safety processes, quality management, and preventive maintenance.
  • Install, decommission, troubleshoot, and repair systems such as Client Electronics Gas Systems, Applied Energy Systems gas systems, Fuji liquid delivery systems, and Air Liquide Gas and Chemical systems.
  • Perform cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all related equipment.
  • Participate in training programs, including OJT (on-the-job training) and technical qualification programs.
  • Support inventory management, including chemical storage, chemical deliveries, and chemical and gas movement.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred) and pallet jacks for material handling.
Required Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of gas, chemical, or slurry applications in wafer fabrication and emergency response.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to gas and chemical systems.
  • Experience in writing, editing, and executing operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Forklift certification (preferred) and experience in operating pallet jacks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance to complex problem resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with barcode systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience in chemical deliveries, offloading chemical storage, and lifting materials.
  • Experience in inventory management and chemical and gas movement.
Certifications (if any):
  • Forklift Certification (preferred).
  • Additional certifications related to gas and chemical systems are a plus.
