Position Responsibilities
- Handling, stacking, and grading material up to 18ft in length and weighing up to 50lbs repetitively.
- Wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking of millwork for shipment.
- General cleaning of work area and surroundings.
- Banding together units at the end of each production run.
- Supporting other production roles as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Manufacturing or factory experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Have a good understanding of all our safety policies.
- Have a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and strong organizational skills.
- Wear proper PPE at all times as required.
- Be lock-out certified for the area.
- Ensure the control room/area remains neat and clean.
- Be aware of personnel working in the area.
- Ensure Arauco exercises responsible environmental stewardship in all areas of our business.
- Complete LASER for any upset condition or procedure
- Perform housekeeping regularly and during downtime.
- Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program.
- Report all safety incidents (including near misses)
- Know the location of all fire equipment and how to use.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to complete repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- While performing the duties of these jobs, the employee will be regularly exposed to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; in and around construction environments; use hand tools/power tools and is around vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
