Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal

Trueline's client, a prominent medium-sized law firm located in downtown Dallas specializing in insurance defense, is seeking a Construction Defect Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a congenial environment with a stable, long-term employer.
What You'll Do as the Paralegal:
- Develop construction case chronologies (previous construction defect experience is required)
- Schedule depositions, mediations, inspections, and meetings
- Calendar and monitor discovery deadlines, depositions, hearings, and other events (scheduling proficiency is imperative)
- Order, review and summarize depositions, workers' comp., employment, and medical records
- Review, analyze and organize document production by opposing parties and co-defendants
- Respond to and subpoena records
- Draft discovery responses, notices, basic motions, orders, and settlement agreements
- Prepare records, assemble exhibits, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation
- Prepare open records requests
- Attend selected depositions and meetings with clients, witnesses, and other counsel
- Handle state and federal e-filing
- Organize and manage electronic files for large, document-intensive cases
- Interact capably with clients and legal professionals
You'll Succeed as the Paralegal/Legal Assistant if you Have:
- Associate degree and/or paralegal certification
- 3-5 years of construction defect experience
- Excellent scheduling proficiency
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Organized, personable, and enjoy working in the legal field
