Job Description

Position Overview:

Continuously improve the facility's production planning, inventory control, customer service and logistics. Provide support to the Production, Maintenance and Warehouse departments with other administrative needs.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Must be able to work with customers in a professional and timely manner at all times. This includes verbal and electronic communications.
  • Performs production planning on a daily basis and monthly scheduling to maximize equipment efficiencies.
  • Enter sales orders and subsequent changes to guarantee the delivery of customer requirements.
  • Purchase raw materials and shipping materials needed by the production departments to manufacture efficiently.
  • Communicate directly with customers to satisfy product and delivery needs, information or planning requirements and material specifications.
  • Communicate scheduling needs to production, maintenance and other internal personnel
  • Assists with inventory control, cycle-counting, production and logistics scheduling following established protocol.
  • Responsible for reporting production information at the end of the shift.
  • Coordinates the implementation of any approved material or method changes. Responsible for communicating these changes to production personnel and follows-up to insure understanding and proper implementation.
  • Keeps current on technical developments and changes in order to appraise or make recommendations to management and supervisors and to instruct and train employees.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the site leadership.
  • Leads by example, which includes filling in where needed on the production floor, helps cover vacant shifts, set the example of good teamwork and work ethic, including good attendance.
  • Performs other administrative duties as requested in support of production, quality, materials, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Some post-secondary education preferred (technical or vocational education) in Business Mgt, or Mfg
