The Shipper/Receiver accurately packages and ships all products and media using all forms of carriers such as, trucks, UPS, Federal Express, etc., in a timely and efficient manner and maintains an accurate stock valve inventory. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds skids, crates, and cardboard cartons.
  • Packages and ships product and media using current SEI's and/or written and verbal instruction from Supervisors, Sales, and management.
  • Keeps accurate record of daily shipments.
  • Counts, weighs, and checks a wide variety of incoming materials and supplies. Makes out receiving report and enters appropriate data into the computer.
  • Loads, unloads and receives crates, parts, and raw materials from carriers.
  • Marks containers with proper identification information such as Purchase Order Number, Sales Order Number, etc. for storage identification.
  • Visually inspects containers, crates, and raw materials (where possible) for damage prior to receiving them.
  • Sets-up, sends to, and receives from venders parts that need outside operations.
  • Makes computer generated code and customer tags and verifies information prior to sending tags to Quality Control for inspection.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous shipping/receiving experience
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
