DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
A Warehouse Associate at Acme Tools performs a variety of warehousing tasks in support of all sales distribution points while adhering to the company's safety, quality, and production standards. This individual will assist with unloading freight using manual and motorized equipment, comparing goods received and packing slips to ensure order accuracy, inspecting goods for any damage, notifying their supervisor of discrepancies, and scanning product into the inventory control system.
Warehouse Associates will maintain a consistent and adequate stock of products on warehouse shelves in a neat and orderly condition and will also participate in scheduled inventory events such as physical inventory counts.
This position will prepare shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations. Warehouse Associates will accurately pick items from customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions and prepare shipments and load product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles.
Warehouse Associates will help in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety. They may participate in property maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care. This position will assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity.
QUALIFICATIONS for a warehouse associate include strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software, the willingness and capability to operate powered equipment (ie. Forklift, pallet jack, etc.), and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS include lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing/descending stairs for the duration of your shift.
