The Level II NDE Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Adhere to quality control procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Document test results, including writing reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections.
- Collaborate with management to assure that testing procedures are meeting project requirements.
- Manage long term projects effectively and professionally by communicating with customer/client representatives and management to effectively meet established deadlines.
- Participate in training programs to stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in radiographic testing.
- Responsible for guidance and on-the-job training of trainees and assistants in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, procedures, and the company's written practice.
- Perform additional NDE service methods like RT, PT, UTT.
- Must be able and willing to travel in the event support is needed in other regions.
Required
- Current or previously certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A Level II MT method.
- Strong with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, etc.
- List of projects managed as a Level II NDE Technician.
- Education history.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and able to pass Motor Vehicle History Evaluations.
- Able to pass an FBI background verification in accordance with Company's Increased Controls program.
- Required to pass Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing policies/procedures; and,
- Required to pass Level II testing methods upon hire to perform job duties.
- SNT-TC-1A/ACCP Level II RT, PT, UTT certifications, or Documented field hours and classroom education that meets or exceeds SNT-TC-1A certification requirements for methods of MT, PT, UT & RT.
- Successfully passing Company's Level II RT, PT, UTT certification process.
- High School Diploma, GED, and/or advanced education.
