MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY:
A Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the installation, maintenance and repair work in equipments, tools and building. This position will manage a team of workers, regularly inspect sites, execute work as necessary, maintain equipment and assign workers to various projects. Responsible for seeing that all PM, Planned, and Unplanned Work Orders are complete on time. Also, Maintenance Supervisor utilizes knowledge, skills and abilities to perform continuous improvements within the plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
- Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
- Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
- Maintain and validate preventative maintenance and pre-operations checklists.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
- Report key metrics and resolve problems preventing achievement of goals.
- Support the plant in monitoring and achieving the operation's annual goals through its ongoing continuous improvement activities and focused problem solving.
- On site leader in maintenance concepts (Problem Solving, Kaizen, World Class Manufacturing, Audit, Preventative Maintenance, Pre-Operations Checklists etc.).
- Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
- Train and develop Maintenance staff and direct reports to meet or exceed Company's systems and customer expectations.
- Lead the plant to adopt maintenance improvements, changes, and provide feedback to the corporate level on read across opportunities for preventive action.
- Provide work direction, feedback, and coaching to direct reports both staff level and floor operators.
- Provide support to all shift crews.
- Hold team accountable to processes and requirements to improve customer satisfaction and expectations.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience working in a production environment.
Travel Required: minimum
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Practical experience performing program management tasks and effectively manages all aspects of the program analysis, problem-solving, continuous improvement, equipment calibrations, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, etc.
- High degree of organization skills in a highly complex environment.
- Just in time/Just in Sequence Experience Preferred.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Great time management skills.
- Ability to read and understand building schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related communication tools.
