Your impact
We are looking for a driven and collaborative Senior Project Controls Manager in Chicago, IL, to join our Program Management Team supporting one of our major programs at a leading academic and research institution, advanced manufacturing facility and laboratory facilities.As a key member of our team, you’ll provide the day-to-day leadership, support and execution of project controls functions for the projects and program. You will be responsible for budget/cost control, change management and schedule monitoring, analysis, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll report directly to the Jacobs Program Director, but manage and solely be responsible to oversee and manage all project and program budget/cost controls, change management, schedule and reporting functions, updates, and presentations to all levels of management with Jacobs and the client.Join us and we will assist in continuing the development of your skills and exploring all that you can do across our global company, with opportunities to share your knowledge along the way.Responsibilities:Oversee project budget/cost management (e.g., project cost and commitments tracking, project cost forecast, labor, and other direct costs monitoring)Oversee the preparation of project monthly reports, weekly change management reports and the program’s online dashboardAbility to create and updates CPM schedules in P6. Additionally, to be able to analyze weekly and monthly the CM/GC’s CPM schedule to ensure proper planning, updates, status, etc and thereby making recommendations for improvement. Also to review TIAs and recovery schedules if/when neededSupport and lead the team on all project budget, funding, and invoice related issuesDevelop and evaluate major program cost estimates and extended budget projections to identify and quantify critical budgetary, cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk factorsCollaboratively work with the CM/GC PMs, PEs and when necessary Superintendents on issues regarding change management and schedule. In addition to utilizing the Jacobs PMs and CMs to support your leadership for overall change management processes Review or Create contract Work Orders/Field Orders/Purchase Orders, independent cost estimates, requisitions, and other procurement functions as neededParticipate in program/project progress and status review meetingsCommunicate schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reports. Contributes to development of new techniques and standardsIndependently applies advanced techniques and analysisReview vendor and CM invoices and pay applications
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent relevant work experience10+ years of project cost controls and project/construction management experience10+ years of experience with Primavera P6 scheduling projects, programs, and portfoliosSpecific experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management, risk management, cost analysis and variance analysisAbility to develop and evaluate major program cost estimates and extended budget projections to identify and quantify critical budgetary, cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic risk factorsExperience building and maintaining Primavera P6 resource loaded schedulesExperience building and maintaining Primavera P6 cost loaded schedules supporting forecasting and multi-year planningProgram Management related experienceWilling and able to site onsite with the Project team at the client's site in Chicago, IL Monday - FridayLife Sciences, Advanced Facilities and/or Healthcare experience preferred but not requiredSponsorship is not available for this position. #EastPMCM #NorthPMCM
