Director of Marketing and Sales
Type: 1099 contract, part-time hourly, hybrid, 10-15 hours per week
Pay: $50-$65/hr, depending on experience

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing and Sales with deep expertise in the construction and real estate industries. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in leading high-performing marketing and sales teams, driving growth, and developing strategic initiatives that align with business objectives. This position requires a hands-on leader who can bridge the gap between sales, marketing, and client relationships to accelerate business development, optimize sales pipelines, and enhance brand positioning in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and sales strategies that drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and brand awareness within the construction and real estate industries.

Team Management & Development: Oversee and mentor a team of marketing, sales, and business development professionals. Provide leadership, training, and performance management to ensure the team meets and exceeds business goals.

Sales & Marketing Alignment: Build a strong alignment between sales and marketing teams, ensuring smooth collaboration on lead generation, qualification, and conversion. Define clear processes and KPIs to track the success of campaigns and sales initiatives.

Brand Development & Positioning: Enhance the company's brand identity in the construction and real estate markets through targeted marketing campaigns, digital media, and thought leadership. Position the company as a leader in the industry, building credibility and trust with key stakeholders.

Lead Generation & Conversion: Develop and implement strategies for driving qualified leads, nurturing prospects through the sales funnel, and ensuring a seamless handoff between marketing-generated leads and the sales team. Use CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to monitor lead conversion and sales pipeline activity.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities for growth, understand customer needs, and analyze competitors. Use insights to inform marketing strategies, product offerings, and sales tactics.

Digital Marketing Strategy: Oversee the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing. Ensure the company's online presence and digital assets reflect industry leadership and attract key decision-makers.

Client & Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders in the construction and real estate sectors. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing and sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to drive ROI and achieve business objectives.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and reporting tools to track campaign performance, sales metrics, and business outcomes. Adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.

Collaboration with Executive Team: Work closely with the executive leadership team to set long-term business goals and strategic direction. Provide regular updates on marketing and sales performance and contribute to overall business planning.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Industry Experience: 10-15 years of experience in marketing and sales, with a strong background in construction and/or real estate sectors. Deep understanding of the unique challenges, trends, and opportunities in these industries.

Education: MBA or relevant graduate degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Proven Leadership: At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing marketing and sales teams. Ability to inspire, develop, and guide cross-functional teams toward common goals.

Sales & Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of both sales strategy and digital marketing tactics, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and brand development.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Comfortable making data-driven decisions and adjusting strategies to meet evolving market conditions.

Client-Focused: Excellent client-facing skills with experience in building and maintaining relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the construction and real estate sectors.

CRM and Sales Tools Proficiency: Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) for managing customer relationships, sales pipelines, and performance analytics.

Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executives, clients, and teams. Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable plans.
