We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our team of Manufacturing Engineers. The ideal candidate will drive Design for Excellence (DFX) initiatives on both new and existing programs, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and of the highest quality. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in manufacturing engineering, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers to achieve departmental and organizational goals.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team.Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and create development plans for team members.Drive DFX initiatives to improve product design, manufacturability, reliability, and overall performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to integrate DFX principles into product development.Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiency.Oversee the execution of manufacturing engineering projects from concept through production.Ensure that new products are designed for manufacturability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production capabilities and reduce waste.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing engineering team.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceThorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering toolsAdvanced knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary teamsMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of driving DFX initiatives and improving manufacturing processes.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.#Ll-hybridEstimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82.
