The Supply Chain Analyst supports daily supply chain operations as well as troubleshoots and resolves problems to avoid disruptions to production. The position is also accountable for the day-to-day planning and monitoring of material inventory levels and for expediting incoming raw materials. Additional responsibilities include shipping/receiving activities, in-plant material movements, inventory storage bin maintenance, periodic inventory audits, and other related activities and documentation. CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for ensuring all materials needed for production are available as needed and proper on hand levels are maintained Analyze data and collaborate with internal customers to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes Analyze inventories to assist in determining the appropriate balance between manufacturing needs and optimized inventory levels Analyze data to determine opportunities to increase service levels while maintaining inventory levels and costs in order to support lean manufacturing activities Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications Anticipate potential problems and risks, and generates ideas, insight and solutions to resolve or anticipate potential problems, followed by decisive action to implement solutions Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and a passion for supply chain/logistics concepts, such as scheduling, inventory management, planning, or material requirement planning is a must. Possession of at least a high school diploma is required and a post-secondary degree is preferred. Ability to resolve conflicts, grasp multiple issues quickly and resolve the issues from a total business perspective. Ability to work in high energy, sometimes demanding work environment. Capable of providing or collaborating with others to develop alternate solutions to issues. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. The ability to learn new concepts/procedures quickly. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications. Working Knowledge of ERP Systems and their use.
