Job Category: Financial Services/Banking Contract: 12 months (possible to convert) Pay Rate range: $20-24/hour (eligible for OT) Overview: We from Russell Tobin, on behalf of our client in the banking and financial industry, are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst. This role is perfect for recent graduates looking to start their career in finance and gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, operations, reporting, and strategic planning. Responsibilities: Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing detailed reports to support management decisions. Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Data Management: Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to ensure accurate financial reporting. Variance Analysis: Monitor and report on financial performance by comparing actual results with budgeted figures, identifying variances, and providing explanations. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Research: Conduct research on market trends, industry developments, and competitor performance to support strategic planning. Compliance: Ensure financial practices comply with regulatory standards and company policies. Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with different departments to gather information and provide financial insights that drive business decisions. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Previous industry internship or work experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field is highly preferred . Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Familiarity with financial software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar) is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions. Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
