Responsibilities
- Prepare / Supervise / Review complex individual, business, estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns
- Complete tax research projects
- Handle client tax notices and audits
- Identify and provide tax planning recommendations
- Respond in a timely fashion to client questions and requests
- Recognize extended service opportunities
- Develop staff, manage their workload, and assess their performance
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients
- Manage daily communication with clients and advise Partners of important engagement developments
- Contribute to practice development and firm management
- Cultivate effective relationships with clients and staff
Employment Type
- Full-Time – The position may require working additional hours during seasonal busy periods or during time-sensitive client engagements.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Proven work experience as a Tax Supervisor / Manager at a public accounting firm
- Expertise in tax accounting, compliance, and a variety of tax returns
- Licensed CPA
- BBA/BS/MS in Accounting or Taxation
- Strong time management, analytical, and research skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop client relationships
- Ability to mentor, develop, lead, and supervise staff
- Analytical skills with great attention to detail
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Software Knowledge – Preferred but not mandatory
- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
