Job Description
The Memory Care Director will develop, implement, and maintain Crossroads at Delta Memory through continuous improvement of services provided. Qualified individuals must hold a current and unencumbered Colorado or Multi-State LPN or RN License. Candidate must able be to pass a drug and background check and have experience working with Dementia/Alzheimer disease. First aid and CPR certification is a plus.  Must have weekend availability.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Developing a therapeutic environment for residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia
  • Develops/organizes several small, engaging and stimulating activities each day for residents to participate
  • Organizes one large event per month
  • Plans specific family-oriented holiday events
  • Works with residents with an awareness of dignity and individuality, with understanding and concern
  • Assists executive director and resident services director in residents medical needs
  • Assists with creating individual service plans for residents
  • Checks and follows the policies and procedure manual, including policies on lifting in emergencies
  • Demonstrates understanding of care terminology and equipment
  • Develops and institute individualized care plans
  • Aids residents in all facets of daily living
  • Supports residents and family of resident's dignity and rights
  • Responsible for creating and posting activities calendar
  • Working in company systems to track activities and attendance
  • Coordinates with Marketing to create and promote internal and external marketing opportunities
  • Manages Memory Care staff
  • Providing support, direction and feedback to staff
  • Works with Executive Director and Resident Services Director with staffing, training, discipline, hiring and termination of employees
  • Maintains and manages Memory Care budget
  • Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a high school graduate, and possess a current and unencumbered Colorado or Multi-State LPN or RN license
  • Experience with geriatric clients is mandatory
  • Must demonstrate a compassionate interest in meeting resident needs
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative
  • Must enjoy working with seniors and residents and families experiencing dementia and Alzheimer’s
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries
  • Must be proficient on Apple iOS
  • Must be available weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, grasp, handle, kneel, pull, push, stoop, squat, twist and transfer
  • Occasionally required to lift 50 pounds as needed
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
