Aureus Medical Group - Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Antioch, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 19 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Estimated payment breakdown $2528.00-$2648.00/wk $920.00-$1040.00 in weekly taxable income $23.00/hr-$26.00/hr Estimate assumes an 12 hour shift. Hourly rate may change based on shift length. $1608.00 in non-taxable stipend Actual amount subject to eligibility and seasonal/annual adjustments Must be able to do MBS swallow evaluations. Shifts: 5/8s M-F Start Time: 8am or 830am Weekend Requirements: There may be an occasional weekend as needed Certification Requirements: CA SLP License BLS JOB DUTIES: Provides assessment treatment care and evaluation for patients with cognitive speech language voice and fluency disorders. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient their family/support group and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment attentive monitoring and care and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations codes policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:REHABILITATION SERVICES: • Develops or implements treatment plans for problems such as stuttering delayed language and swallowing disorders. • Completes patient evaluations and tests per Speech Pathology Standards of Practice and other standards as required. • Develops and updates the patient’s Plan of Care POC. • Assesses and provides and/or progresses treatment for patients per plan of care per established standards. • Completes all documentation related to charge capture per established standards. • Coordinates patient care effectively and efficiently with other care provider and support team members. • Ensure compliance with other department and organization requirements and responsibilities. • Works flexible shift assignments e.g. days of week hours .• Assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides. • Functions as clinical instructor for assigned students. CLERICAL: • Prepares and completes accurate documentation related to patient including all therapy performed in medical and departmental records per standards as required.• May perform general clerical tasks such as answering phones updating patient appointments or retrieving entering and revising patient Electronic Health Records EHR. SAFETY: • Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects. • Maintains a clean neat and safe working environment including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use.• Inspects and uses equipment per manufacturers’ guidelines recording data and reporting malfunctions per policy. TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience.
