Job Summary Job Description Summary The Senior solution architect will join Software services and platform syndication team and drive Access network and connectivity syndication and building multi-tenancy platforms, providing detailed documentation on best practices, architecture diagrams, and implementation guidelines. They will assist in the commercialization of the Access Network and connectivity Syndication business by analyzing technical feasibility, creating a technical roadmap, and developing a risk mitigation plan. The architect will develop a comprehensive solution architecture for integrating the Comcast systems with partners, including designing public APIs, documenting data exchange patterns, and compiling best practices. Additionally, they will consult on go-to-market (GTM) options for these solutions, developing a strategy that fits into a larger connectivity portfolio to extend the value of Comcast to operators. This role is responsible for promoting use of industry and Company technology standards. Monitors emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use within the company. Designs and develops updated infrastructure in support of one or more business processes. Helps to ensure a balance between tactical and strategic technology solutions. Considers business problems "end-to-end": including people, process and technology, both within and outside the enterprise, as part of any design solution. Mentors, reviews codes and verifies that the object oriented design best practices and that coding and architectural guidelines are adhered to. Identifies and drives issues through closure. Job Description Core Responsibilities Provides solutions and guidance to industry. Present to large groups and is an expert at explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Syndication Patterns: Detailed documentation on best practices for Access Network and Connectivity, including architecture diagrams, use cases, and implementation guidelines. Multi-Tenancy Strategy Document: Comprehensive strategy for implementing multi-tenancy, covering isolation models, tenant data management, security considerations, and scalability. Workshops/Training Sessions: Conduct workshops or training sessions for the internal team on syndication and multi-tenancy patterns. Technical Feasibility Analysis: Analysis of the technical feasibility of commercializing the Access Network and Connectivity Syndication business, identifying potential technical challenges and solutions. Roadmap: Create a detailed roadmap outlining the necessary technical steps, milestones, and timelines for commercialization. Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan: Identification of potential technical risks associated with commercialization and development of a mitigation plan. Integration Architecture Blueprint: A comprehensive blueprint for integrating the Connect system with partners, including high-level and detailed architecture diagrams. Public API Design and Documentation: Design of public APIs with detailed documentation, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices. Data Exchange Patterns: Documentation of recommended data exchange patterns, including protocols, data formats, and security considerations. Best Practices Guide: Compilation of best practices for integration, including coding standards, versioning strategies, and testing procedures. Connectivity Portfolio Integration Plan: A plan outlining how the Access Network and Connectivity syndication solutions fit into a larger connectivity portfolio, including potential synergies and value propositions. Value Proposition Development: Development of a clear value proposition for the Comcast solutions, highlighting the unique benefits and competitive advantages. Tools and Technologies: Recommendations for tools and technologies to support the integration and commercialization efforts. Compliance and Security: Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to relevant compliance and security standards. Performance and Scalability: Address performance and scalability considerations in all deliverables. Ensures programs are envisioned, designed, developed and implemented across the enterprise to meet business needs. Interfaces with the enterprise architecture team and other functional areas to ensure that most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs. Ensures solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable and delivered on schedule. Develops, documents and ensures compliance with best practices including but not limited to the following coding standards, object oriented design, platform and framework specific design concerns and human interface guidelines. Tracks and documents requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements. Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture. Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture. Contributes to the overall system implementation strategy for the enterprise and participates in appropriate forums, meetings, presentations etc. to meet goals. Gathers and understands client needs, finding key areas where technology leverage is possible to improve business processes, defines architectural approaches and develops technology proofs. Communicates technology direction. Monitors the project lifecycle from intake through delivery. Ensures the entire solution design is complete and consistent from the start and seeks to remove as much re-work as possible. Develops and communicates system/subsystem architecture. Develops clear system requirements for component subsystems. Contributes to and supports effort to further build intellectual property via patents. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: 7-10 years of solution architecture experience. Strong understanding of relevant broadband technologies and industry trends. Effective communication to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences at executive/senior level. Ability to navigate through complex set of Comcast broadband (Networks and Devices) technologies and system capabilities (Products) Ability to adapt Comcast technologies and capabilities to solve customer problems. Full lifecycle experience (Define, Develop, Deliver, Deploy, Operate and Maintain) to deliver complex solutions involving long lead time. Ability to build consensus across teams and stakeholders by abstracting key problems and proposing solution options. Understanding of overall enterprise OSS and BSS functions in customer organizations Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Understanding of customer needs and the ability to architect solutions accordingly. Ability to identify and understand customer problems and propose solutions. Deliver compelling and persuasive presentations and product demos. Quick learning and application of new technologies.
