NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Technical Program Manager (PM) to lead and manage a new digital transformation and engineering program for a US Army customer. The PM oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of a comprehensive Digital Transformation / Engineering solution. Requires a strong background in managing distributed multi-disciplinary teams, developing schedules, and ensuring compliance with technical, security, and contractual requirements. This position offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of digital engineering transformation within a high-impact DoD program. Location: Remote, managing a distributed technology team; proximity to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD or Fort Belvoir, VA a plus Travel: Occasional travel to corporate offices near Aberdeen, MD and customer locations at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; Fort Belvoir, MD; and Redstone Arsenal, AL Roles & Responsibilities Lead all aspects of the phased program implementation, including resource allocation, budgeting, and stakeholder communication. Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS) and conduct quarterly schedule risk assessments. Facilitate and ensure timely delivery of phased operational capability versions. Act as the primary interface with government personnel, including the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). Facilitate collaboration with other DoD Digital Engineering environments and ensure compliance with integration and interoperability requirements. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to timelines, resources, and technical execution. Provide periodic updates and recommendations to address risks and opportunities. Ensure project adherence to DoD cybersecurity requirements, including DevSecOps practices and achieving/maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) Accreditation. Oversee contractor compliance with antiterrorism, OPSEC, and other federal regulations. Direct and coordinate distributed team to ensure performance standards and objectives are met. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field preferred). A minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience, with a focus on technical or engineering domains. Demonstrated experience managing multi-year projects with phased deliverables. Active Secret Clearance and ability to maintain it throughout the duration of employment; ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance. Preferred Qualifications PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials. Experience managing projects in a government or DoD environment. Experience managing (or familiarity with) implementation, deployment, and sustainment of DevSecOps software factories/toolchains. Experience managing programs supporting (or familiarity with) implementation of Digital Engineering tools and cloud-based solutions. Experience leading projects involving cybersecurity and secure IT environments. Knowledge of DoD acquisition, government contracting processes, and/or DoD Digital Engineering guidance. Other Requirements Must comply with all federal and DoD contractor guidelines, including submission to background checks, training requirements, and security protocols.
