Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing audio, video, lighting, and rigging system integration projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves managing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver quality results. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of a project, from initial client engagement through final system commissioning, ensuring the project meets technical requirements and exceeds client expectations. This position reports to the Director of Projects.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, Gantt schedules, submittals, and milestones
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear communication on project progress, changes, and concerns
Collaborate with design engineering, installation, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution
Ensure the project remains within financial targets
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts
Maintain detailed and current project documentation, including contracts, schedules, drawings, and progress reports
Oversee post-installation support, including troubleshooting, training, and client handover documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in project management, theatre, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and rigging systems, including design, installation, and integration processes.
Familiarity with AV industry standards
Proficiency with project management software
The ability to read/markup architectural and electrical drawings
