Job Summary . • Accounting Manager performs day to day accounting functions, including but not limited:o Supervising: Night Audit, General Cashier, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Staff Accountant, Payroll and Accounting Generalists. o Working on monthly accounting reports, providing resolution between operational departments and accounting team.o Maintaining complete knowledge and keeping abreast of the accounting and hotel systems and software changes, troubleshoot any issues and errors. o This position ensures that operations are in compliance with all internal accounting control procedures, local laws and regulations, US GAAP, USALI and internal SOPs.• Work closely with internal and external Audit Teams and provide reports on timely manner• Manages Cash and daily Bank operations, wires and deposits. Ensures cash, bank credit card reconciliations performed daily.• Performs house bank audits at least monthly or more often if required. Investigates and reports any discrepancies to management.• Assists in preparation of monthly Cash Flow and Fund Request Report. • Directs or completes the activities for the billing and collection of receivables in accordance with contractual payment terms and internal credit policy. Serve as primary contact for client escalation meetings to resolve aged or disputed accounts. • Maintains chargeback logs, respond timely and address any issues with other departments, aiming to minimize our risk and chargeback rate.• Responsible for facilitating monthly credit meeting - reviewing open folios, open PMs, and AR ageing report, making sure all open balances are recorded, addressed and reconciled timely.• Ensures Month End closing is performed on timely, compliant, and accurate manner. Prepares and posts accounting journal entries.• Ensures monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed on timely, compliant, and accurate manner. Provide support to accounting team and ensure deadlines are met. • Prepares minutes and provides an action plan based on results of quarterly balance sheet reviews with Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance, and/or Regional Director of Finance.• Supports other departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures established by Langham Hospitality Group (LHG).• Trains and develops accounting team for internal controls, policies and accounting rules per US GAAP and Hotel USALI standards. • Supports management with new implementations and improvement programs as necessary• Work flexible schedule when required due to business needs to support operation. • Performs other duties as well as special analysis as required and assigned by supervisors.• Required to attend all training sessions and meetings. • Supports all office processes that do not conflict with internal controls as it relates to designation of duties. • Upholds all company and industry standards pertaining to PCI compliance, guest/financial/payroll confidentiality and accounting best practices.• As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sustainability initiatives in partnership with EarthCheck goals. • Expected to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into your daily responsibilities, helping us maintain our commitment to excellence in both service and sustainability.SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $87,000 YEARLY Requirement . • Work inside with varying hours and days.• Requires repetitive motion of hands and wrists. • Standing/Walking/Lifting as required• Must have basic math skills and the ability to use standard office equipment.• Ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict situations.• Understand financial and managerial accounting and industry standards.• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly.• Must have advanced level of excel.This description excludes non-essential and marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of the fundamental job duties.
