What We Offer $33.03-$40.46/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates 100% employer-paid health insurance including medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicine Profit sharing & 403(b) retirement plan available Generous PTO, eight paid holidays, and much more! What You'll Do:
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards and regulatory requirements for general ledger accounts, subledgers, and financial reporting systems Coordinates monthly accounting close process, including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained. Analyzes account information and reconciles financial discrepancies in balance sheets and profit and loss statements. Prepares a variety of financial reports and analyses for organizational leadership. Coordinates annual audit process and other regulatory or financial audits. Coordinates the filing of required tax and cost reports. Provides assistance to the annual budget process. May meet with departmental managers to review their budget periodically. Documents and maintains effective internal controls, processes, and continuous improvement of the month-end and year-end close processes and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Conscientiously prepare monthly reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers to balance sheet accounts, demonstrating meticulous diligence and a commitment to accuracy. Prepares monthly journal entries to support the month-end processes required by GAAP. Prepares special reports to support the accounting team as needed. Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Associate's Degree with two additional years' experience with general ledger accounting may be substituted for the required education. High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with four additional years' experience with general ledger and grants accounting may be substituted for the required education. Experience:
Four years' experience in general ledger transactions. Preferred Experience:
Experience in a healthcare environment, preferably an FQHC type of health center. Experience with Oracle software. Experience with Epic software. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP. Strong proficiency in accounting and analytical skills. Ability to work with detailed data and maintain accurate records. Ability to prioritize work and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. Strong organization skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to exercise independent judgment and solid decision-making. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate proficiency with Excel. Basic proficiency with a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
