Position Summary
Heavy equipment oiler performs onsite daily fueling and lube services, operational checks and minor preventive maintenance services on a variety of heavy construction equipment.
Experience Level
Intermediate
Primary Responsibilities and Duties • Perform scheduled fueling and lubrication services to all field equipment and construction machinery. • Complete preventative maintenance work orders on a wide variety of heavy equipment including backhoes, scrapers, dozers and excavators. • Inspect equipment and report problems • Occasionally may assist heavy equipment mechanics with the replacement of defective or worn parts. • Maintains accurate truck and equipment inspection and service logs on a daily basis and in accordance to DOT requirements. • Complies will all applicable DOT rules and regulations. • Complies with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in regard to disposal and waste
Qualifications • CDL Class B with HAZMAT / Tanker endorsement REQUIRED. • Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position. • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools
Requirements
This is a night shift position. Hours typically 4pm to 2am. Able to meet all physical requirements. Must have all required tools Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft) Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
