Qualifications: Master's degree in speech and language pathology. CCC required. Previous experience with disabled students, their related educational needs and IEPT mandates. Experience with Easy IEP a plus but not required. Demonstrate ability in oral and written communications. Demonstrate creativity, initiative and understanding in working with students, staff, and parents/guardians. Ability to make decisions in accordance with Board Policies and special education mandates with minimum supervision.
Essential Duties:
Conduct screenings and assessments and provide written evaluations for suspected disabled students or special education students in the areas of articulation, fluency, voice, language, and autism spectrum disorders. Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to eligible students. Develop and write annual goals and short-term instructional objectives for students assigned to caseload. Attend and actively participate in Student Assistant Team, Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) and individualized Education Planning Committee (IEPT) meetings as requested. Compile and maintain records and written reports for students assigned to the caseload. Provide inclusionary inter-disciplinary service to eligible students. Evidence quality performance in areas of responsibilities. Other duties as assigned by Director of Special Education
