Direct Client Requirement Job Title: Data Architect - Snowflake, Data Modeling & Migration (Regulatory Pharma) Location: Raritan/Bridgewater/Trenton NJ (Hybrid- once a week) Job Type: Contract Department: Data & Analytics / IT Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with expertise in Snowflake, data modeling, and data migration, as well as experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in regulatory compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures, managing data modeling, and ensuring seamless data migration processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet the business and regulatory needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities : Data Architecture & Design :

Design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance data architectures using Snowflake. Lead the design of data structures, databases, and data flows to meet the needs of analytical applications. Define and manage the data pipeline, ensuring that data is available and accurate across systems. Develop and maintain data models for both transactional and analytical systems. Data Modeling:

Create and manage data models, including logical and physical data models, for complex data systems. Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data models. Implement best practices for data modeling, ensuring data consistency and integrity. Data Migration:

Lead data migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition of data from legacy systems to Snowflake. Develop migration strategies, plans, and timelines for large-scale data migrations. Collaborate with teams to test and validate data migration processes to ensure accuracy. Regulatory & Compliance Focus (Pharma):

Work closely with the regulatory and compliance teams to ensure that data solutions meet pharmaceutical industry regulations, including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, HIPAA, and other relevant standards. Ensure data security, privacy, and traceability in line with regulatory requirements. Provide expertise in data governance, data quality management, and auditing practices for regulatory reporting. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and IT teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions. Engage with stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions, risks, and data-driven insights. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. Optimization & Performance Tuning:

Optimize data models and queries for high-performance data retrieval. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the data architecture to improve system efficiency. Monitor Snowflake platform performance and implement optimizations as needed.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role with a strong background in Snowflake, data modeling, and data migration. Deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including schema design, performance optimization, and integration with other systems. Strong experience in data modeling tools and techniques, including dimensional modeling, ER modeling, and data normalization. Hands-on experience with data migration strategies, tools, and technologies for moving data between platforms and systems. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry (FDA, GxP, HIPAA, etc.) and experience designing data solutions that comply with these regulations. Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT tools. Understanding of cloud data architecture and modern data technologies. Strong knowledge of data governance principles, data quality, and audit processes. Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams. Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and migration. Prior experience working in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry with regulatory data requirements is a strong plus. Desired Certifications (Optional):

Snowflake Certified Data Engineer WS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certification in Pharmaceutical Regulations or GxP
