Work ScheduleFull-Time | Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm | Hidden Meadows LocationBenefitsInsurance: medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, disabilityPaid Time Off: vacation, sick days, personal days, holidaysRetirement: 403(b) with match Education assistance and continuing education - many courses offered on-site at the hospitalQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required from an accredited institution Associate's degree from an accredited institution preferredUnderstanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments through education and experienceMust be able to anticipate physician needs to facilitate the flow of clinicMust be discreet and tactful so as not to distract medical staff from patient careGood judgment, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivatedBLS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)ResponsibilitiesAccurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures in the Electronic Medical Record as they are being performed or dictated by the physicianPrepare referral letters as directed by the physician, ensuring that letters are mailed or faxed on a daily basis in a timely mannerResearch contact information for referring physicians, coordinate referrals, prepare operative reports, and make phone callsComply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents while keeping patient information confidentialCollect, organize and catalog data for physician quality reporting systemWhy Hillsdale Hospital Hillsdale Hospital is dedicated to excellence in healthcare community service, continued improvement, and respect for human life.
