INCUMBENT CAN BE HOUSED IN ALBUQUERQUE, SANTA FE OR RIO RANCHO CYFD OFFICES.
Why does the job exist?
The incumbent will support recruitment efforts for specially licensed homes as well as TFC (Treatment Foster Care) and other community homes. Support the direct workers under this and our navigator positions within Protective Services. The Foster Care Plus/ Recruitment Supervisor will supervise five (5) Foster Care Plus positions; providing coaching/ mentoring, training/ support, and evaluations to the employees. In addition the Foster Care Plus/ Recruitment Supervisor will provide direction and guidance for recruitment efforts and safety plans in Resource homes.
How does it get done?
1. Maintain the contract for services with agencies to support Foster Care plus 10% 2. Support training of Foster care plus resource parents.10% 3. Support workers in the foster care plus in assessing needs, and supports for resource foster parents. 20% 4. Develop and coach workers in supporting Foster Care plus specialized resource homes. 20% 5. Follow Foster Care Plus program guide and support all guidelines. 10% 6. Support recruitment of resource homes and support CBRR (County Based Recruitment and Retention) Teams in these efforts 20% 7. Work with the Communication office to maintain recruitment efforts and support strategic recruitment plan. 10%
Ideal Candidate
Experience as it relates to: • Working directly with Children, Youth, and their families;
• Partner with Community Service providers as it relates to Children, and Youth;
• Working with Youth in a school setting;
• Determining eligibility for services that might be needed for the Children, Youth and Families;
• Conduct and complete assessments of safety, risks, strengths, and family needs;
• Developing Safety plans for the Children, Youth and Families;
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings;
• Identify, provide, and/or arrange timely assessments/evaluations/ interviews;
• Conduct medical case management activities for eligible clients.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology and/or Family Studies/Services and four (4) years of any combination of experience including working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and/or health care. Employment Requirements
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds, and some travel with the occasional overnight stay may be required.
