BJC has a great opportunity for a Sr. Project Manager. The role requires a background in construction management, engineering or architecture, hospital experience is preferred.
This is a hybrid position.
Must be located in the greater St. Louis area.

PD&C provides professional support for system-wide comprehensive strategic facility plans for the various campuses within BJC. Providing integrated design planning the group brings process excellence and standardization in planning including a reliable estimating, scheduling and cost forecasting system. They serve as educators for their customers bringing strong resources to the system, and reviewing all efforts with an eye towards environmental impact. The department provides the necessary selection, contracting, supervision, management and leadership of system-wide program management services for capital design and construction projects. They are accountable for developing, implementing and maintaining the policies, procedures and systems supporting capital projects executed to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction and increase the productivity and financial results of all BJC facilities. The department also provides leadership and technical direction in the development of program control, benchmarking and measurement standards that meet the demands of the strategic needs of BJC HealthCare
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Responsible for managing all aspects of medium to large complex projects from Schematic Design through Close Out. Utilizes historical project cost information and helps develop and maintain a construction cost database. Close out projects in a timely manner. Day-to-day management of Architects, Engineers, Consultants and, other vendors as applicable. Works closely with other BJC departments such as IT and Clinical Asset Management. Partners closely with Space Management Team. Maintains a typical project portfolio within a 2 year budget cycle includes consists of >20 active projects with cumulative budgets of $50M -$100M. Project locations will be at BJC Hospitals and off-site locations (no overnight travel or out of town assignments). This position falls under the category of an Owner's-Representative model of project management.
Responsibilities Provides leadership to project teams in the development and implementation of an assigned project. Management of adherence to project functional and business requirements, timeline, dependencies, milestones and approvals. Provides consulting, problem solving, works closely and continuously with Hospital facilities management. Ensures educational, compliance and regulatory requirements, and contract administration are met as they relate to technical performance. Champions minority and women business enterprise participation, supplier diversity, gains approval and enforces project diversity efforts with PD&C Diversity Manager. Ensures quality standards, and interim life, safety, and infection control initiatives requirements are met. Successfully execute the completion and occupancy of several types of projects such as, but not limited to: in place renovations, infrastructure upgrades, new Medical Office Buildings & Ambulatory Centers, and radiology equipment replacements. Performs and manages tasks and team members related to: project planning, execution, analysis and tracking. Change management. Team facilitation. Risk/issue identification and mitigation. May manage individuals, including but not limited to: trains, mentors, assigns work and provides performance feedback to the Mgr. Adheres to revenue and/or expense budgets related to assigned projects. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve budget goals.
Minimum Requirements
Education Bach Deg and/or Equivalent Exp
Experience 5-10 years
