Job Description
The duties of a
Senior Project Manager:
Create detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans. Ensure that materials, labor, and equipment are available and used efficiently throughout the project. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication about project goals and status. Monitor and control the project budget, including procurement, labor costs, and changes in scope. Provide regular financial reports and updates to clients and senior leadership, addressing variances between the planned and actual budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and risks that may lead to budget overruns, addressing them proactively. Use tools like MS Project or Primavera to set milestones and deadlines. Revise schedules to account for delays, inclement weather, or unforeseen challenges. Oversee the work of project managers, site superintendents, subcontractors, and other staff. Provide guidance to less experienced team members to ensure they follow best practices. Oversee the implementation of quality control measures to ensure that work is performed according to specifications and industry standards. Coordinate with city, state, or federal inspectors to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. Work with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to secure contracts and ensure that all parties understand project requirements. Ensure that all necessary permits are obtained and renewed as needed throughout the project. Act as the main point of contact with the client, maintaining open communication and ensuring that their needs are met. Ensure that all bills, change orders, and contracts are finalized and closed out. Conduct a post-project review to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects. Senior Project Manager:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management (strongly preferred) Experience managing multifamily projects Knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, estimating, budgeting, scheduling and safety practices Knowledge of project management software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, Primavera, Procore. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good math/accounting skills. Strong ability to read drawings and specifications. Exhibits strong leadership qualities. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times. Delegates work appropriately. Strong decision making/problem solving skills. What's on Offer
