Job Description:

The Supply Chain Intern supports the department team of colleagues to ensure the operations of the supply chain are carried out accurately and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Utilize knowledge and tools to support process improvement initiatives. Support the Supply Chain team with priorities and workload. Assist with maintaining appropriate fields in the ERP system such as lead time, lot sizes, and manufacturer information. Assist with obtaining prints and patterns, if needed. Support preparing purchase orders. Aid maintaining and monitoring master file and plant-specific files for Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA), Certificates of Insurance (COI), and other contractual purchasing documents. Support reviewing changes in supplier delivery performance, material and source availability and supplier base activity. Assist Supply Chain Team Members and Buyers in searching for new, improved and/or less costly purchase materials and services. Participate and contribute to the continued Supply Chain process improvement goals and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university. Previous internship experience is a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

Some knowledge in Infor XA and/or experience in ERP systems is preferred. Analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. COMPETENCES:

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer. Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally. Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards.
