We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic
Senior IT Director of Program Management
to lead our IT Program Management Office (PMO) etc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a major ERP transformation initiative and should have a strong background in ERP program management. This role will also be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and optimizing project management processes. This position requires a leader with extensive experience in IT project management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive organizational change. The Head of IT PMO will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will be responsible for ensuring that IT initiatives align with business objectives and deliver anticipated value.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy: o Develop and implement the IT PMO strategy, aligning it with the overall business goals and objectives. o Provide leadership and direction to the IT PMO team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. o Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize and allocate resources for IT projects and programs.
ERP Program Management: o Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the ERP transformation initiative, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget. o Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices specific to ERP implementations. o Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Program and Project Management: o Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT programs and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. o Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices. o Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management: o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners. o Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. o Facilitate collaboration and coordination among cross-functional teams. • Process Improvement: o Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and templates. o Implement metrics and KPIs to measure project performance and drive accountability. o Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT PMO.
Team Development: o Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT PMO team. o Provide coaching and guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth and development. o Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. • Other Responsibilities o Advise CIO on key topics as requested, including IT strategy, ELT- and BOD-level communications, IT communications, overall operations of the IT function. o Coordinate and facilitate IT leadership meetings, including ITLT meetings, Hot Topics meetings, ITLT offsites, etc. to ensure IT leadership time is spent on critical priorities and decisions.

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university • Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT project and program management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role preferably in a pharmaceutical, medical device or life science industry • Prior ERP (i.e SAP) project management implementation experience
Preferred Requirements • Project management certification such as PMP, and strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g.,PMBOK, Agile, PRINCE2) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello). • Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies • Experience in developing and implementing IT governance frameworks and policies. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Expert knowledge of computerized system validation • Results driven and service oriented to internal and external customers
Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $190,400 to $302,400. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The salary range is CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
