The Gilchrist Law Firm is currently seeking a Task Order Manager to oversee the daily operations of multiple task orders under an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the U.S. Department of State, Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, on-site position offering an opportunity to manage and lead the execution of various task orders that support the government's mission.
In this role, the Task Order Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely completion of task order deliverables, managing contractor staff, and liaising with government stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience managing government contracts, possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and be adept at overseeing multiple task orders simultaneously while ensuring high-quality service and compliance with contract requirements.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the execution of task orders within the IDIQ contract, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with government performance requirements. Act as the primary point of contact between contractor employees and the government's Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Provide timely updates, address performance issues, and manage relationships with key government stakeholders. Track progress and milestones for each task order to ensure that deliverables are met according to the Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS). Report on task order status to the IDIQ Program Manager and the COR. Ensure that all work performed under each task order meets or exceeds quality standards. Address any issues that may impact the quality or timeliness of services provided to the government. Proactively identify and resolve task order performance issues. Engage with the government's Contracting Officer Representative (COR) when necessary and collaborate to find effective solutions. Oversee the recruitment, management, and performance of contractor staff assigned to the task order. Ensure staffing levels meet the needs of the task order, and assist with filling vacant positions in a timely manner. Ensure accurate record-keeping of all task order activities, progress reports, and documentation. Facilitate smooth transitions for staffing or project phases as needed. Work closely with the IDIQ Program Manager to ensure alignment between task orders and contract objectives. Assist in managing the transition of staff and overseeing contract performance. Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of 5 years of contract management experience, with a focus on government contracts and task order management. Prior experience managing task orders within an IDIQ contract structure is preferred. Top Secret Security Clearance Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to lead teams and manage contract performance. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with government representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple task orders simultaneously and maintain high attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing performance challenges. Strong organizational and time-management skills to track deliverables and milestones across multiple task orders.
