White Learning Center serves our students in grades TK-2. ** Castle Rock Elementary School serves our students in grades 3-5. ** Woodlake Valley Middle School serves our students in grades 6-8. ** Woodlake High School serves grades 9-12 students, and the Three Rivers and Seville students join the district. ** Bravo Lake also serves students in grades 9-12 who need an alternative setting. ** Woodlake Community Day School serves students in grades 7-12.
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education Services, may supervise aides as assigned. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) purpose is to diagnose based on assessments the students' speech development level; provide speech/language services to students ranging from age 3 to 22. The SLP provides information for program development and student placement; provides activities to develop pre-language and language skills, oral motor control for speech production, and vocalization. The SLP is knowledgeable in the use of assistive technology/devices for communication, improving student's performance; and providing information on child development and/or issue on specific students to instruction and general education personnel. Provides special training to students having any communication disorders in accordance with Tulare County Special Education Plan Area (SELPA) policies. Performs other duties directly related to this job descriptions.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's in Speech Language Pathology/Valid CA Speech -Language Pathologist License; • Capable of performing essential job functions, including ability to work with SEIS; • Develop and implement IEP and goals, assess present levels of functioning and review student performance. • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, perform routine documentation of student performance, and provide direct Speech-Language therapy to eligible students. • Spanish speaking preferred, but not required. • Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
