Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in
southern Minnesota
who is seeking an experienced
Plant Manager.
This person is going to be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of their processing facility, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance while managing a team of department leaders. This is going to be a
start-up environment
so looking for a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong background in food production and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
Qualifications: 5-10+ years Plant Managmement Need to have experience with high-volume pork processing, smoked meats Plant start-up/experience within a growth environment highly preferred! Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and OSHA regulations. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills Responsibilities:
Work closely with full operation management team which includes maintenance, QA, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and human resources Ensure company standards are achieved with an emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure, and training for employees Analyze production performance records and data Ensure operating equipment are running smoothly and effectively Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures Maintain workflow by monitoring and developing processing instructions, observing control points and equipment, monitoring staff Execute product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flow
Plant expected to be around 300 employees
Targeting 130k-150k base
