Job Duties
Assists the Business Manager and provides supervision to fiscal staff to ensure that the daily operation of the Business Office, Commissary and Warehouse are carried out according to policy and procedure. Audits and reviews financial documents and reports to ensure compliance with all the Department of Corrections and Department of Accounts policies and procedures. Assigns and reviews the work of the fiscal staff. Responds to inmate and staff questions as needed regarding Inmate Trust/Pay policies and procedures. Compiles Agency's Accountability reports and forwards to appropriate departments. Audits all petty cash reimbursement requests for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures. Confers with and makes recommendations to the Business Manager on accounting and fiscal matters. Responsible for reconciliation of accounts and inventories assigned to the Business Office. May assist the Warehouse Manager with ensuring goods and materials are properly received, documented, stored, distributed or transferred or destroyed for surplus.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with procurement and (GAAP) accounting principles and practices. Have basic knowledge of computers and computer software i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Can work effectively in a team-based environment using both verbal and written communication skills. Prepare financial reports and statements. Train and direct the work of supporting staff.

Experience utilizing eVA (electronic procurement system and Cardinal.
