The position:
The Compliance Monitor will be responsible for all aspects of affordable housing compliance to help ensure program compliance for all properties within the portfolio.
Responsibilities
Interpret and apply multiple layers of compliance rules and regulations to the portfolio of properties as specified by the monitoring agencies to ensure program compliance Review all Income Certifications and Annual Eligibility Certifications to ensure each file maintains proper organization and documentation Assist with developing new training course materials and administer training programs as needed Provide phone and email support with on-site staff to ensure all files are processed quickly and efficiently Prepare, review, and submission of required reports for the various compliance programs to monitoring agencies and/or investors/partners Communicate with outside auditors as needed Monitor that Resident Services (as required) are administered according to the LURA Prepare property compliance abstracts utilizing LURA and/or other regulatory deed Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Education & Experience:
A minimum of four (4) years of LIHTC and/or other affordable program experience Must have good oral and written communication skills LIHTC certified through an industry program and/or the ability to attain the professional designation of Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) Proficiency with Excel and Word Willing and able to travel HUD Project Based Voucher experience is a plus A current, valid Driver License is required Physical Requirements:
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week. The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions. Company Information
