The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruise Lines brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst reporting to the Director of Celebrity Finance.

This position works on-site in Miami, Florida

Position Summary:

Support all aspects of financial and administrative functions including planning, reporting, business analysis and capital expense budget oversight for the Hotel Operations department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide detailed monthly analysis on operating plan performance and provide forecast that support organizational goals and objectives. Support the Hotel Operations finance budget, plan and forecast. Creates and maintains accurate report and analysis for Hotel Expenses lines. Maintains and ensures that all cost controls are following Sarbanes Oxley, accounting and other company policies. Support vendor evaluations and facilitate payment approvals and invoice processing. Departmental Liaison to Accounting, Corporate Planning and Hotel Operations. Prepares and maintain the financial performance on a ship level. Organize and conduct meetings with key project and operational leaders to review budget status, and escalate potential risks promptly. Maintain and continuously update all financial trackers and budget documents to reflect the most current forecasts. Oversee the identification, tracking, and management of risk items, ensuring items are addressed in each financial meeting with the project teams. Aids in all ad-hoc financial analysis request within the department. Collaborate with the operational teams to produce accurate hotel forecasts, record and analyze actual performance and identify plan of action to address variances. Own the month-end closing process and ensure entries are calculated and recorded accurately. Work with Accounting to ensure financials are accurate and complete. Responsible for month-end and intra-month reporting of financial results to the operations team. Constantly improve reporting process and analytics. The analyst will work in different lines of the P&L, from food costs, crew expenses, entertainment, C&R to other miscellaneous. The position will rotate roles and responsibilities frequently to learn the structure of each P&L group. The expectation is that the person in the role eventually learns in depth the mechanics behind all lines. Participate in the development of annual operation plans, forecasts for hotel expenses. Prepare and/or oversee all reclasses, accruals and other month end entries to be submitted to accounting. Develop detail variance explanations to plan and forecast for variance analysis review of Hotel operations expenses. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. MBA is a plus. 1 -2 years of work experience. Excel and financial modeling required, proficiency with Microsoft package. Working knowledge in Business Intelligence Visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau. Candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel. Must have the ability to think independently and explain complex solutions in a simple manner. Positive attitude with proven history of success in project analysis, tracking & implementation. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with confidence and composure. Ability to succeed in a team environment. Embrace cross training as back-up for other team members. Ability to share information and work in a standardized environment. Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls.
