Assistant Project Manager,

Environmental Scientist/

Geologist

that will support a variety of challenging multi-disciplinary environmental investigation and remediation projects under various voluntary, state, and federal programs. This individual will interact with clients and help manage projects that require site characterization, environmental investigation and remediation, regulatory agency interaction. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will:

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, including following established Haley & Aldrich and client health & safety protocols and procedures. As applicable, participate in site safety briefings and audits by both contractors and Haley & Aldrich. Work collaboratively with a technical team supporting heavy industry, manufacturing, attorney, developer, and energy clients with a diversity of challenging projects. Take an active role in and ownership of each project and assigned task, even if the work effort is outside of the candidate's core competencies, while seeking guidance from other technical/senior management. Assist with planning of and provide technical, engineering, and design contributions to site investigations, remedial alternatives analysis, remedial design, and closure implementation projects to address client goals and objectives. Support planning and directing of environmental field observation and testing programs, including health & safety management, subcontractor coordination, technical support and laboratory test selection and data evaluation. Prepare proposals, work plans, technical reports/presentations and regulatory compliance submissions for client deliverables including findings and recommendations from a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects. Support management of projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

B.S. in Environmental Science, Geology, or similar discipline. M.S. preferred. Professional license in Ohio, New York, Indiana, and/or Michigan or ability to obtain licensure preferred. 5+ years of professional services consulting experience. Experience and understanding of various field sampling and data collection methods/technologies and multiple regulatory programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must which includes proficient writing, review, and editing of technical reports, feasibility studies and basis of design documents to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations. Willingness to accept direction and project responsibilities including office and field assignments with a demonstrated record of self-directed and motivated attitude toward learning and career growth. Strong computer literacy skills including a working knowledge of industry standard software is required. Experienced with figure drafting in AutoCAD/Autodesk and/or ArcGIS a plus. Strong organization skills and an attention to detail is expected. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to see projects through to completion is a must.
