Position Summary:

This Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements and documents as well as be responsible for performing balance sheet, revenue, and expense account reconciliations with an emphasis on revenue accounting, commission accounting, and other core accounting. Assist general ledger department with process improvements and account reconciliation efficiencies. Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and assist in maintaining or implementing those controls. Interact with external and internal auditors on a regular basis.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting with the monthly close process and projects. Performing analytical assignments and preparing accounting reports. Preparing reconciliations of accounts, actively investigating reconciling items to resolve timely. Performing analysis and coordinating with business partners to resolve any differences. Analyzing and interpreting reports for managers, providing recommendations to guide business decisions. Fielding issues and responding to inquiries, ensuring resolution. Comparing system outputs with daily input verifying for accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Leading the company's efforts to comply with the controls for internal policies and external regulations. Leading or participating in training and skills development initiatives as a subject matter expert. Participating in the identification and implementation of improvements to accounting processes. Provide information for auditors and other special projects. Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Three or more years of relevant experience. Skills:

Experience in the preparation of general ledger postings and account reconciliations. Knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and accounting standard methodologies. Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel. Advanced Excel skills including Power Queries or other automated process flows. Knowledge of accounting systems and applications, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365, Essbase, and Enterprise Process Management (or other reconciliation tools). Must be organized and detail oriented, flexible, able to work independently, good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Accountability & Drive for Results - Strong customer focus and collaborative skills. Change Agent - Ability and readiness to embrace and successfully drive/implement change. Functional/technical skills- strong fundamentals in accounting and US GAAP. Team player, eager to learn and a good attitude, comfort in operating within a dynamic, complex organizational structure.
