Michael Page has partnered with one of Chicago's most established General Contracting firms. They opened their doors over 50 years ago! This GC is a mid-sized firm who focuses on commercial and Education projects in the Chicagoland area. They offer enormous growth potential as they are looking to bring in talented construction professionals to fill out their team. They pride themselves on their diverse project portfolio. They focus on small to medium scale projects up to $5M, with an extremely strong forecast of projects in the Chicago-land area in coming years.
Job Description
Establish and maintain working professional relationships with the project design team, company field and office personnel, subcontractors, and vendors Lead the preparation of construction documents Administer contracts with owner, subcontractors, and vendors Manage value engineering efforts Prepare and process all paperwork and documents to owner, project design team and subcontractors in a timely and complete manner Ensure compliance with construction permits Prepare and maintain project schedule and budgets, communicating changes to project personnel as needed Review, approve, and process draw requests and payments to suppliers and subcontractors Work with owner in transitioning the project from construction to residential operations. Address all project completion and warranty issues and prepare final close-out documentation Manage budget and financial reporting Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget. Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program. The Successful Applicant
5+ years of Construction Project Management experience Strong background in Commercial Construction Strong oral and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore The ability to work in a fast paced work environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team The desire to grow their career professionally The desire to drive the growth of a highly reputable General Contractor The desire to mentor some of the younger Project Managers Strong track record with client relationships Detail oriented Good time management skills Ground up experience is preferred Proven ability to deliver commercial construction projects on time and on budget Must be able to work in a multiple-project environment Capable of problem solving and experience with complex detailed projects What's on Offer
