General Responsibilities

The Howard Community College Manager of Development for Athletics will serve as the strategic partner in planning, advising, and facilitating with current and prospective donors to Howard Community College Athletics program. The incumbent will represent Howard Community College Athletics to internal and external audiences while working with members of the college community to advance our mission. They must be able to discuss Athletic Department needs and priorities persuasively with prospective donors and volunteers. They will organize, assist, and attend programming and event activities for the Athletic Department and the college as appropriate.

Work Performed Collaborate with coaches to prepare and implement strategies to attain team goals and objectives. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key constituents to increase major gifts to Howard Community College Athletics. Work with appropriate departments to evaluate and prioritize donor prospects. Assist coaches with the management of team donor portfolios. Ensure communications and marketing efforts of Howard Community College Athletics are coordinated with development and alumni efforts. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree

Minimum Number of Years Experience Required

Other Knowledge Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar field Creative and strategically minded Knowledge of intercollegiate fundraising Excellent communication skills and skilled writer Strong organization and marketing skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Familiarity with database computer systems

Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, requiring 20-25 hours per week.
